DATES 2024-2025
Term 1: Tuesday 3rd September – Tuesday 8th October 2024 (5 weeks)
Term 2: Tuesday 29th October – Tuesday 10th December 2024 (7 weeks)
Term 3: Tuesday 14th January – Tuesday 1st April 2025 (11 weeks)
There will be no sessions on Tuesday 17th September 2024 or Tuesday 18th February 2025 due to schools in-service.
Louise Douglas
Louise, from Nigg in Easter Ross, was taught by three of Scotland's most respected and treasured Tradition bearers -Angus Grant, Alasdair Fraser and the late Dr Tom Anderson and was greatly inspired and influenced by their playing and teaching. She also enjoys composing and her tunes are played throughout the tradition. Louise is also a greatly sought after teacher, and as well as being a Strings Instructor in East Sutherland for HLH, she annually teacheson the Alasdair Fraser course at Sabhal Mor Ostaig, Skye and regularly teaches for Fèis Rois.In 2020 she was nominated as Tutor of the Year in the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards.
